Susan Badia, Esq. - President and CEO
Susan Badia continues to honor the family legacy by serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of X-GEN Pharmaceuticals; using the same principles and foresight learned from the founder, Dan Badia. In her role, Ms. Badia is responsible for the day to day operations of X-GEN through ensuring all operations and duties are performed in compliance with all X-GEN, State and Federal policies, procedures and regulations.
Prior to her current leadership role Susan spent over fifteen years assisting the President with oversight of the day to day operations. This experience, combined with a long career in a variety of operational roles such as regulatory affairs and production/manufacturing has given her an appreciation of all aspects of X-GEN’s business. Susan draws on this breadth of experience as she leads X-GEN through a period of continued growth while maintaining the founding principles which have made it successful in the past.
Susan attended Arizona State University where she graduated cum laude with a B.S. degree in Political Science. Susan then continued her education at Pepperdine University School of Law where she was awarded her J. D. in 1990; she is currently a member of the New York State Bar Association.
Rob Liles - Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer, Rob Liles oversees the daily operations of X-GEN Pharmaceuticals location in Big Flats, NY. In addition to developing and executing long and short-term strategic objectives, Rob also ensures the facility operates in a cost effective manner. He continually reviews the facility operations to ensure that the proper infrastructure is in place so that all employees have the necessary tools and training.
Rob joined the team first as a consultant, which led to a full-time position two years later in 1987 when he transferred to New York. Upon his arrival Rob quickly familiarized himself with the day to day operation of X-GEN’s Northport facility and became an integral component to many operations, including distribution, manufacturing inventory management as well as having a host of other responsibilities. As the company continued to grow Rob directed the expansion to Elmira, NY.
Rob attended University of the Ozarks, in Arkansas where he graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration.
Catherine Liles - Chief Administration Officer
Catherine Liles ensures X-GEN’s cash flow is adequate to cover operational expenses through the day to day management of daily cash balances. She works closely with the Finance team; providing guidance on all financial matters impacting the company – including data processing, administrative fees for GPO contracts, accounts receivable and accounts payables. As part of the corporate leadership team and ownership, Catherine Liles collaborates with the other Corporate Officers on long range strategic objectives to ensure X-GEN’s continued success as a family owned and operated entity.
Catherine joined the company in 1987, beginning as an administrative assistant to a Vice President. Catherine has held many different roles within the financial areas of the organization and currently serves as Chief Administration Officer. During her tenure with X-GEN Catherine has been at the forefront of many strategic initiatives to ensure X-GEN remains the vibrant and personal organization her father, Dan Badia, envisioned when he began the company.
Catherine studied Business Administration and Management with honors during her tenure at the University of the Ozarks. She is a lifelong learner and has continued her education with studies at Cornell University, Elmira College and The Center for Professional Advancement as well as many industry specific conferences and shows. In addition, Catherine is actively involved in supporting and maintaining the Women Owned Business National Council (WBENC).
